  • What is a digital classroom?
Using your smartphone, tablet or computer you post your problems into your own classroom page. Your teacher sets questions and assess progress just like your classroom teacher would. Get ahead, catch up on topics or simply revise. We can provide as much structure or freedom as you need.
  • Is it effective?
Educational research shows that teaching strategies emphasising feedback and intervention have the biggest effect size on student achievement. This research is at the heart  of what we do and now the technology exists to facilitate it. It's based on years of successful results as a teacher and private tutor. 

  • Do you provide traditional tuition?
Yes in the Manchester area, contact us to discuss this further. We can also arrange one off meetings / tutorials before you use our online service, allowing you to meet your new online teacher.
  • How does it compare to face-to-face tutoring?
Our support means students don't need to wait a week to contact their tutor. We find this additional support has huge advantages over home tuition alone. We're happy to discuss the suitability for you or your child before booking with us.
  • Who will be tutoring me?
We only use fully qualified Maths teachers with PGCEs and appropriate subject specialist degrees. We don't use undergraduates or other students. You keep the same tutor month to month. . Our teachers have taught and examined GCSE and A-level Maths across a range of exam boards from 11-18.

About us

We're passionate about Maths and learning. Having taught in schools and colleges for over a decade we want to reach out online to more students. Teaching hundreds of students with different ages / ability levels and backgrounds we've designed our service based on what we know works. We can't sit the exam for you but we can help you with everything else you need!

We take safeguarding seriously at mathsconfidence.com, we:
  • Only use qualified teachers with the same full background DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks that are required for schools.
  • Record and archive online tutorials, including voice recording.
  • Involve parents / guardians at all times. Communication between students and teachers are archived and you can always have visibility.
  • Students work from the comfort of your home and under your supervision. 
  • Operate a strict "no additional contact" policy. Only the mathsconfidence systems are used. Any contact is transparent and only takes place with your clear consent and knowledge.
  • Our teachers work in schools and colleges and complete mandatory training for safeguarding.
